In this Action Network webinar based on her keynote at our Action Network conference, Dr. Nancy Carlsson-Paige offers a full exploration of how and why screens interfere with developmental milestones crucial to children’s well-being. Using specific, real-life examples, she illustrates the difference between what children “learn” from screens and what they learn through physical, hands-on activities.

Dr. Carlsson-Paige and Defending the Early Years created the accompanying parent guide, also available in Spanish, that illustrates and expands upon the concepts she discusses in the webinar. It’s a great resource for teachers and families.

Child development specialist Dr. Carlsson-Paige, EdD was a teacher educator at Lesley University for over 30 years, is co-founder of Defending the Early Years, and a writer, speaker, and activist.
