Registration Fees

Registration fees include breakfast and lunch both days and a special event with Paula Poundstone.

Early Bird Registration (ending February 1, 2018)     $240.00

Regular Registration                                                 $275.00


A limited number of scholarships are available and cover registration fees only. The deadline for scholarship applications is February 1, 2018. Please apply here (.doc download).

Professional development credits

While we are not formally issuing continuing education units, please email us with requirements and we will provide a certificate of attendance.

Helping others

We have many teachers and individual practitioners eager to collaborate around children and screen time. On your registration form, you have the opportunity to help fund another's registration and in so doing, promote the expansion of this work.

Refund Policy

Payment in full is required to reserve your space. Once slots are full, we will maintain a waiting list. After March 1, refunds will be reduced to 50%. Please note that refunds requested after March 1 may not be processed until after the conference.


Courtyard Marriott Brookline

We have reserved a group rate for Thursday 4/19/18 and Friday 4/20/18 at the Courtyard Marriott Brookline, 40 Webster Street, Brookline, MA. The rate is $219 + tax per night. Book online here, or call 617.734.1393 and mention the group rate for Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood.

Other Options

The conference will be held at Wheelock College’s Brookline Campus at 43 Hawes Street, Brookline, Massachusetts. It is close to Coolidge Corner in Brookline and the Longwood Medical Area. There are numerous other housing options available, including a Holiday Inn, AirBnb, and traditional Inns.

Transportation to and from the conference site

The Marriott Courtyard is conveniently located in Coolidge Corner, about a mile away from the conference site and a short ride by the subway (MBTA)  or Lyft/Uber/taxi.

Conference FAQ

Does the conference offer a group rate?

Not at this time. Because we have limited space and funding for our inaugural conference, we are not able to offer a group rate at this time.

Does the conference offer a student rate?

Not this time. If you're a student, we would love to have you attend! We have limited scholarships available. The due date for scholarship applications is February 1, 2018. Please do apply.

Will the conference be live streamed?

Unfortunately, we are not able to livestream any part of the conference.
